Last Wednesday we swung by the Nerdist’s Burbank offices for a live recording of Jessica Chobot and Andrew Bowser’s Bizarre States, and of course we had to bring a few of the most active haunted artifacts from The Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult. Things got.. a little weird, to say the least.

In the episode, we discuss our semi-creepy love story, our alien abduction experiment, the humble beginnings of the paranormal museum, and of course, haunted objects like The Dark Mirror, “Billy” the Idol of Nightmares, and The Crone, which Chobot lovingly nicknamed the “Swamp Witch Totem”.

You can watch the whole interview in HD by signing up for Project Alpha (there’s a free 30 day trial), but you can download the full audio version over at the Nerdist website absolutely free.

Fun facts: We somehow managed to not start quoting Onyx the Fortuitous (AKA “Weird Satanist Guy”) to Bowser, Chobot gave Billy her necklace, we gave them their very own antique scrying mirror, and Chobot got super sick after The Crone was removed from her case. Off camera she mentioned the feeling of needles stabbing her neck and even had to bail on work the following day, but it gets even weirder. If you’re a member of the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal & Occult, you can watch a great clip of a semi-disturbed Bizarre States crew member explaining how his photos of the artifacts were corrupting as soon as they were taken.

Maybe next time we visit Bizarre States we’ll leave The Crone at home.
